1.Chikhvi
Ingredients:
- 500 gm bamboo      shoots (peeled and chopped)
- 250 gm pork
- 150 gm jack fruits seed      (soaked, peeled and halved)
- 150 gm green papaya
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 5 green chillies
- 2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 cup of rice flour paste
- 10 fresh lemon leaves      (chopped)
How to make:
- Add baking soda      in a pan full of water and boil for sometime.
- Add all other      ingredients, cover the lid and cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Add fresh lemon      leaved and cook uncovered for sometime more.
- Serve hot with Plain rice.
2. Kaju Badam Tacos
Ingredients:
1 recipe badam barfi
1 recipe cashew barfi
2 tbsp broken cashewnuts (kaju)
a few drops yellow food colour
a few saffron (kesar) strands
2 to 3 pistachios, slivered
1 recipe cashew barfi
2 tbsp broken cashewnuts (kaju)
a few drops yellow food colour
a few saffron (kesar) strands
2 to 3 pistachios, slivered
How to make:
- Make the badam      barfi and cahew barfi as mentioned in the respective recipes.
- Divide the badam      barfi into 8 equal portions and roll out each portion between 2 sheets of      plastic into circles of 100 mm. (4") diameter. Keep aside.
- Add the broken      cashewnuts and yellow food colouring to the cahshew barfi and mix well.      Divide into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a cylinder 100      mm. (4") long and 25 mm. (1") thickness.
- Place one cashew      barfi cylinder in the centre of the badam barfi circle and fold over to      form a semi circle like a taco.
- Repeat for the      remaining ingredients to make 7 more tacos.
- Garnish with      slivered pistachios and saffron and serve.
